Mary Chia Beauty Products Review - Lucent Range

I mentioned I was introduced to Mary Chia beauty products and I find it really useful that I'm writing to share with you.

This is the set of products I received from Mary Chia about a week ago

Today I'm introducing the 3 items from the Lucent Range.

Lucent Spider Magic, Lucent Eye Complex and Lucent Daily Skin Protector

Let's break it down!

Lucent Spider Magic

Lucent Spider Magic provides gentle and non-abrasive biological exfoliation without unwanted side effects and down time of peels. Bio-engineered from powerful enzymes purified from the digestive tracts of Nephila Clavata, a Golden Orb Spider, Lucent Spider Magic helps increase skin metabolic rate to enable new cellular turnover to refine skin texture and strengthen skin immunity. Arazyme™ present in the formulation helps prevent microcomedone to prevent the congestion of pores which may lead to acne.

Very importantly, Lucent Spider Magic replenishes ceramides in our skin to improve the skin barrier function to prevent inflammation and improves skin ability to naturally retain moisture to maintain healthy hydration balance. Unlike AHA and BHA acid peels, Lucent Spider Magic’s exfoliation process stops when dead skis are dissolved. Therefore, it is suitable for all skin types.

Some benefits it brings:

- Actively encourages new skin cells turnover to refine skin texture and resilience

Look at my radiance skin applying the Spider Magic (No filter needed!)

Apply evenly over cleansed, dry skin and leave on for 20-40min and rinse off with water. I usually use this during the night as I have more time to leave it on my face.

I can't show you a big difference for my face and hence, here's the photo for using it on my sis face. Result is really immediate!

Pores is smaller and looks way cleaner. Face tone is fairer and more even!

Lucent Eye Complex 

This is one product that is as good one can achieve without injection or surgery! It provides non-invasive Tear Trough Repair.

This fatty acid-link peptide effectively repairs skin’s underlying structure and improves skin laxity, firmness and, reducing the appearances of wrinkles and fine lines.

Chrysin

Chrysin, a flavonoid, is a natural compound that is found in high concentration in honey and propolis, has extensive biological activity.

It is shown to be effective in inhibiting melanin production. In addition, it’s ability to eliminate bilirubin and iron deposited in the under eye area makes it an excellent compound against dark eye circles.

Hesperidin Methyl Chalcone

Hesperidin Methyl Chalcone is a water  soluble flavanone that is widely used in the treatment of venous diseases where patients suffer from extreme poor blood circulation. It has been shown to strengthen the walls of blood vessels, decreasing its permeability to prevent blood and plasma leakage. In doing so, Hesperidin Methyl Chalcone helps prevent accumulation of fluid in the under eye that causes the formation of eye bags.

Dipeptide

Dipeptide is the organic compound of 2 amino acids which main functions are to maintain cellular’s pH balance and

act as antioxidants. However, it is an effective compound that can increase the frequency of muscle contraction; including contraction of lymphangion.

Lymphangion is the region between any two valves of the lymphatic vessels that facilitate the carriage of toxin out of the body.

When applied to the eye area, Dipeptide helps to boost the area’s lymphatic drainage to reduce and prevent the appearances of eye bags.

I applied this twice a day to my clean dry skin!

This is my eyes difference with only 5 days of use. Still have plenty of time to improve!

Main Active Ingredients

Licorice

Baobab Leaves

The high molecular extract from the African Baobab trees sourced from France improves the skin’s sensory properties especially suppleness, softness and lustre. Baobab is packed with antioxidants and vitamin C which supports collagen formation - giving you radiant glowing skin. It also contains antioxidants which are essential for protecting, repairing and preventing cell damage, particularly over the long-term. They counteract oxidative stress and the effects of free radicals. Free radicals are unstable molecules that damage collagen causing skin dryness, fine lines, wrinkles and premature ageing.

Cat’s Claw

Cat's claw is a tropical woody vine native to South and Central America, and is also known as ‘Uncaria tomentosa’.

Their findings suggest that this little-known botanical agent exerts powerful anti-inflammatory and antioxidant effects that support DNA repair. It helps the body to repair sun and environmental stress-related damage to DNA, and slow down the process of skin ageing.

Use after your skincare, spray liberally over the face. Massage the product into the skin in upwards motion, especially around the corner of eyes, mouth and nasolabial folds. You can see my nasolabial folds and eye bags is reduced after 1st use!
